WakaTech UltraScreen
Introduction
The WakaTech UltraScreen is a companion product to the WakaTech Tube-O-Rama. The WakaTech UltraScreen provides playback and parcel management functionality, allowing users of group land to deed the screen to the land group without having to deed the WakaTech Tube-O-Rama itself.
The WakaTech UltraScreen provides automatic image scaling and alignment, allowing for perfect display of video in any aspect ratio. The automatic scaling provided by the WakaTech MegaScreen bypasses the automatic scaling provided by SL itself, allowing for higher framerates when watching video.
The WakaTech UltraScree is easily resized to match its surroundings using easy to use menus, ensuring that every video is shown without distortion.
The WakaTech UltraScreen supports multiple languages for its user interface. Currently English and Japanese are supported.
Please note that the WakaTech UltraScreen does not provide any functionality on its own, it much be paired with a WakaTech Tube-O-Rama or other compatible video controller in order to be functional.
Installation
To install the WakaTech UltraScreen, rez it and move it into your desired location.
When the screen is first rezzed, you will be prompted to choose an interface language.
If the screen is being used on group-owned land, deed the screen to the land group by first right-clicking on the screen and choosing Edit, then on the General tab check the Share With Group box and click the Deed… button.
Once the screen is in position, touch the WakaTech Tube-O-Rama control panel, choose Admin from the menu and then choose Set Texture from the Admin menu.
Configuration
To configure the UltraScreen, click the screen and hold down your mouse button for more than half a second (a “long click”). This will activate the configuration menu, with the following options:
- Screen Channel - Chose Screen Channel and then specify a new channel by typing /1 and the channel number (i.e. /1 -2231 to set to channel -2231). If you change the channel the screen uses you will also have to change the channel of the Tube-O-Rama. Default: -4242.
- Parcel Media Control - Choose Parcel Media Control to enable/disable the ability of the screen to start/stop/change the parcel video. Only one screen on a given parcel should have this option enabled.Default: True.
- Auto Aspect-Ratio - When enabled, the screen will change its height to match the aspect ration of the video being played. Default: True.
- Increase Screen Size - Choose to increase the size of the screen.
- Decrease Screen Size - Choose to decrease the size of the screen.
- Change Language - Choose to change the language of the screen’s user interface.
Choose Exit to leave the configuration mode. If you ignore the configuration menu, your next screen touch will exit configuration mode.
